Kathleen Byron

Kathleen Byron treinou para o palco na Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, começando seu trabalho no cinema logo após terminar seu treinamento. Seu trabalho inicial com Michael Powell fez seu nome no Reino Unido. Ela foi para Hollywood nas décadas de 1940 e 1950, mas achou difícil entrar nas produções dos EUA. Principalmente porque, embora todos tenham admirado muito sua atuação como Irmã Ruth em Narciso Negro (1947), ela era estereotipada e esperava-se apenas poder interpretar personagens neuróticos.
