Mithun Purandare is an Indian actor, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and ISSA-certified fitness and nutrition expert whose career spans over two decades across Mumbai, Goa, and London. A former Prithvi Theatre practitioner and Mr. India runner-up, he has worked across feature films, streaming series, theatre, music videos, and television commercials. His screen credits include Madgaon Express (2024), directed by Kunal Khemu, in which he portrayed the Bartender; Sony LIV's thriller series KanKhajura, where he played Sandy opposite Roshan Mathew; Ram Gopal Varma's Dangerous; Darbar, starring Rajinikanth and Suniel Shetty; Mumbai Godfather, alongside Seema Biswas; and an upcoming series created by Vir Das. Mithun received the Best Actor Award for the English short film Day Trip to London, written and directed by Annabell Herbert. His background in theatre includes performances at Prithvi Theatre, where he appeared in productions such as Hyacinth, portraying the Greek god Apollo alongside Makarand Deshpande, Trishla Patel, and Sandip Soparkar. In addition to acting, Mithun is a filmmaker and producer. His debut feature film, NO ONE INSIDE, marks his debut as a director and producer, with Mithun also starring in the film. The independent psychological thriller explores the impact of social media and live streaming, combining live action with AI-assisted animation. Independently produced with a multidisciplinary crew, the film has completed picture lock and is currently in post-production, with festival submissions being prepared. Mithun also stars in filmmaker Nitish Pires' upcoming road film Tila Gad. Outside the entertainment industry, Mithun is the co-founder of Aliaum, a resort-wear fashion label based in Assagao, Goa. He divides his time between Goa, Mumbai, and London, balancing his work as an actor, filmmaker, producer, and entrepreneur. His music video appearances include Shankara, Rakh Hausla (Zee Music), Chup Chup Khade Ho (Times Music), Phu Bai Phu, and Pyaar by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. His commercial work includes campaigns for Amul Butter, HDFC Bank, Blackberrys, Tata Indicom, The Times of India, and Deccan Chronicle. Mithun continues to develop projects across film and digital media while pursuing original independent productions as an actor, director, producer, and entrepreneur.
