John Carter (26. November 1927 – 23. Mai 2015) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Zu seinen Filmen zählen „Badlands“ (1973), „Scarface“ (1983) und „The Hoax“ (2006). Im Fernsehen hatte Carter Gastrollen in zahlreichen Serien und war vor allem für seine wiederkehrende Rolle als Polizeileutnant John Biddle in „Barnaby Jones“ (1973–1980) bekannt. Er war der Bruder des Schauspielers Conlan Carter („Combat!“, „The Law“ und „Mr. Jones“).
